FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

LET’S CLEAR A FEW THINGS UP.

Select a question to read the answer.

01

Do you accept pro bono or discounted services?

Unfortunately, no. As we are building up our business, our goal is to provide a high caliber level of work for an intentionally small clientele. We have a very unique skillset that will be an asset for the organizations that we serve. To ensure that we bring our best to the team every day, we have reasonable prices that will benefit our clients, long-term.

02

What is your return on investment?

We have been thoroughly trained on what funders look for and will bring our best to every submission. Though we can never guarantee funding as that is out of our control, we will always seek funder feedback on rejected grants so that we can continuously improve your competitiveness.

We also provide a Wagging Tail Blueprint to all of our clients. This Blueprint is a master grant template that can be easily tweaked for future grant submissions; no more scurrying at the last minute to throw a proposal together! Verbiage within the Blueprint can also be retooled for funding campaigns, social media posts and infographics!

03

What degree(s) do you have?

Sierra holds her BA degree in Psychology and her MA degree in Health Education from East Carolina University. Her thesis was titled The Health Implications of Employment in Non-Profit Animal Care in Eastern North Carolina: A Phenomenological Exploration.

04

Can you work on commission?

No, this is against the Grant Professional Association’s Code of Ethics.

05

Can’t we just use AI to write grants?

The best grants come from a uniquely human perspective. All of our grants are done by someone with a true passion for animal welfare. While it is true that AI can draft generic templates, it can’t capture the heart or pain behind every statistic.

Statistics are more than numbers; they are the shelter dog waiting for a life-saving surgery or a feral cat colony in need of a targeted spay/neuter program to help prevent future suffering.

A dedicated grant writer does more than just plug in numbers. A true grant writer gets to know your organization through an Adoption Readiness Analysis (Nonprofit Wellness Audit). We learn everything there is to know about your organization; your hopes, struggles and needs. Your programs become our passion. And that human aspect is what potentially transforms a funding request into a funding decision.

As a mom to two rescue cats and a vegetarian for almost 2 decades, Sierra has a personal stake in your mission, from Day 1.
